More About Me

A little about me:

I’m 27 years old and have a twin sister. I earned my cosmetology license during my senior year of high school and graduated from college in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Since August 2018, I’ve been working full-time as a nail technician, but God is now calling me to step away from it as I transition into the new career path He has for me. This season has been both interesting and faith-building. God is leading me from working with nails to working with children. As I continue to surrender my heart and career to Him, I’m witnessing my heart change toward children, so much so that I’m currently working toward earning my teaching certificate, trusting that I will begin teaching in God’s perfect timing.

My walk with God hasn’t always been consistent, but once I fully surrendered my life to Christ, submitting my desire of what I believed life would look like, still being in business, continuing to own my own salon, and so many other ideas I had to lay at the feet of Jesus and pick up the life He now desires for me. Since having surrendered my will for God's, I have been able to experience Him in such a deeper and more meaningful way, something I’m truly grateful for and wouldn’t change for anything.

My Journey Into Ministry...

From a very young age, I felt a call to ministry, though I didn’t fully understand what that would look like. My heart has always been for people—especially young women who, like me, once lived a life far from pleasing to God. I searched for the kind of intimacy that only a Father’s love can give, but for years I tried to fill that void with everything except the One who could truly satisfy it—God Himself.

When I finally surrendered my life and desires to Him, I experienced God as my Father for the first time. That moment began a three-year journey of intimacy with Him—just me and God. Of course, there were distractions along the way, but it was during that season that I truly encountered His love in a deep and personal way.

That journey eventually led me into a 25-day fast where I experienced God more profoundly than ever before. Through that fast, He revealed more about who I am, who He is, and the purpose He placed within me. During that time, He began to reveal my call to ministry, though He made it clear the time to step into it hadn’t yet come. I felt led to start a YouTube channel then, but it was premature, and I eventually paused it. Still, during that season, God gave me the name for what is now my podcast, Called to Christ.

Several months later, God confirmed my ministry call through a dream and made it clear that it was time. I started small—with a Bible study alongside my sister, and from there, we’ve now been hosting Bible studies for two semesters at our church. Now, God has released me to relaunch the YouTube channel as a podcast, where I’ll share the gospel and speak on the topics He places on my heart to reach others.

I’m truly excited to step fully into this calling and ministry. My heart’s goal is to never allow my feelings or opinions to outweigh what God’s Word says, but to present His truth clearly, through Scripture and personal testimonies that help paint a picture of what God has revealed to me. My prayer is that everything shared through this platform points back to Him, deepens your relationship with Christ, and reminds you of how intentional and loving our Father truly is.
